Knox County Schools serves 60,000+ students in 91 schools that offer programs including STEM, Arts education, honors courses, and CTE as well as extracurricular activities ranging from state championship athletics to the performing arts to robotics.

The mission of Pellissippi State Community College is to serve its community by providing college-level and non-credit courses and learning support instruction using a variety of delivery methods, including distance learning.

UT Knoxville, which includes the UT Space Institute and the UT Institute of Agriculture, is the state’s flagship university and premier public research institution. UTK is the #1 public university in Tennessee with 900+ programs of study.

The Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCAT) serve as the premier suppliers of workforce development throughout the State of Tennessee. TCAT Knoxville offers nearly twenty programs in addition to workforce development courses.

According to PrivateSchoolReview.com, There are nearly fifty private schools in Knox County serving over 11,000 students. The average tuition cost for a private school in Knoxville is 31% less than that of the state average.

Eleven post-secondary institutions in East Tennessee are members of the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association. For over 200 years, private colleges have been serving the Volunteer state.
